¨Courses of Study

Soumas Heritage School of Music (SHSM) is geared to your personal music needs.  We provide flexible lesson packages to accommodate you or your family member's interests, talents and goals.  Our teachers are dedicated to the growth and music education of beginning and advanced students.  Our instruction includes 1/2 hour and full hour weekly private lessons on: Piano, voice, woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion. 

Group classes are also offered in the following subjects as a beginners 12-week/12 hour course:

• American Sign Language & Music Interpretation

• Choir Directing

All checks are made payable to "Soumas Heritage School of Music".  There will be a $35 returned check fee on all returned checks.

¨Policies

Missed Lessons and Make-Up Lessons: 24-hour notice must be given at the school office to receive a make-up class for missed lessons.  Make-ups are to be scheduled at a time mutually convenient for the student and instructor.  If the proper notification is not given, the lesson will not be rescheduled.  If SHSM must cancel a class for any reason, that class will be made up as soon as possible.

Parent's Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events:  It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of school activities; such as recitals and dates the school is open and closed.  The school will post notices on announcement boards to ensure parents and students are informed.  If students wish to participate in music recitals or exams it is the parent or adult student's responsibility to be aware of dates and deadlines.  It is the parent or adult student's responsibility to take care of all fees.
